systemcrashed Figured I'd start this one after getting word from my DS today that I should expect mid to late June delivery.
May 3, 2016
Jeff Andrews I hope this will be my thread. Best of luck to us all. May the odds be ever in our favor.
May 3, 2016
systemcrashed You got your vin one week after mine. Since I'm in Florida, you might get it in June for real as long as there are no more delays.
May 3, 2016
F123456 I was just about to start this, since I saw July but no June...
VIN 5572
I confimed on 3/29,
initial email stated late-April-May
DS now says likely June (or later).
I do NOT have a proactive DS, but she does generally respond to emails--sometimes even within a day or two.
Config: 90D, MC Red w White interior. Subzero package, PUP, upgraded amp charger, upgraded audio. No tow package, and base wheels.
Location: Northern VA.
What are people doing to get ready?
I've got my Wall Charger in hand, and installation will be this Saturday. My garage rails will likely be raised within a week or two (83" from garage floor to rail), and I might swap out the garage door opener while I'm at it. Garage door width will be my nightmare, but no easy modification to be had there.
Any thoughts on what else?
May 3, 2016
VABarb I am in Richmond and will be coming up to Tyco to get my X. Jessie is my DS. Looking like June for me. I am not sure about NoVa but in Richmond we have Dominion power and they have a Pilot program for EV vehicles - you can have a separate meter installed and take advantage of super off peak (1-5am) charging rates. I am in the last stages of getting this installed. I have found that not all county electrical inspectors are up to speed and there was some confusion - they wanted the meter installed inside the garage if you don't have a cut off. That makes no sense so we had the cutoff installed so the meter is outside like Dominion needs to read it.
May 3, 2016
systemcrashed I'm on the west coast of Florida, received my HPWC, deciding on best location to install, will install once I hear my car is in production. I preordered T-sportline matte black rims. Going to DMV on Thursday to order my custom license platereally hope it happens in June.

May 3, 2016
F123456 Thanks, @VABarb. NOVEC up here, and as far as I know, they don't even have peak/off peak rates -- but I will check with them tomorrow, and thanks for the idea!
Jessie is my DS, too... Hope you get your X soon!
May 3, 2016
sflecarfan @systemcrashed not meaning to hijack the thread but needed to ask how are you preordering your license plate? It was my understanding in FL you have to at least have the registration for the car. Or are you putting it on a current car, then switch later on?
May 3, 2016
systemcrashed My registration is up for renewal in June, so I will be filling out the custom plate application as I renew, they will issue me a new sticker on old plate and a new custom plate will come in the mail several weeks later.
May 3, 2016
Maaz 7006, DS says Mid-June. 90D, fully loaded
May 3, 2016
F123456 Nice! What's your location? And idea where your car is in the process? My VIN is 5572, and hasn't entered production yet, but I'm told likely June delivery (VA).
May 3, 2016
irishstoutaz Our DS told us late June...
Reserved 7/13/2013 (#4,504) Confirmed 4/11/2016 (VIN 6279): 90D | Midnight Silver | Black | Figured Ash | Black Liner | 20" | Premium | AP | 6 seat | Ultra High Sound | Towing | 72 A | Sub Zero
May 4, 2016
dutchinchicago Got an update from my DS today. 90D - no premium - vin 4936- Chicago should go in production next week which would give us a mid to late June delivery.
May 4, 2016
dapao will be confirmed on May 6th. I am starting to think, June delivery may be is June 2017
May 4, 2016
loganintx I just checked my My Tesla page and I now have a Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement attached at the bottom with the other docs.
The MVPA is dated today, May 4th.
I was told by my DS that my $5k deposit would not be refunded as the car's price would reflect that deduction and the loan amount would be the MSRP - $5k. However, in this doc it shows that there is a $7 state inspection fee and the remaining $4,993 is due back to me, the buyer.
There is a section on the page where I could Make A Payment, however it shows that: Your Model X is fully paid
The Odometer Mileage shows 50 miles but I'm assuming that's an estimate since I'm pretty sure my car isn't built yet.
It also reads that the vehicle will be delivered on or about 06/03/2016
I will note that June 3rd is exactly 30 days from today so again this could just be default estimates.
May 4, 2016
idoco Just received email:
"...Model X to begin production in Mid-May and be available for delivery in late June..."
May 4, 2016
systemcrashed Was this an automated email from tesla or your DS?
May 4, 2016
K-MTG I got my MVPA early April, it has an April 30th delivery date
May 4, 2016
loganintx So are you saying the number of days between when the MVPA was created and the estimated delivery date was LESS THAN 30 days???
May 4, 2016
K-MTG Correct but my X was delayed and now I am expecting delivery mid-May
May 19, 2016
SSD420 Considering I was told my 90D will be delivered between late June and July, I'm pretty confident that you will have your sig by then.
Good luck!
May 20, 2016
dutchinchicago My 90D with Premium vin 4936 went in production earlier this week. My DS said that it takes 3-4 weeks for production, 1-2 weeks for testing and 12-14 days for shipping to Chicago. I am hoping to get the car end of June or the beginning of July. Because this is right on the end of Q2 I am hoping that they will rush it so that I get it before the first of July. Given my DS's timeline I should get it between June 27th using the most optimistic time line and July 11th using the more pessimistic timeline.
May 20, 2016
systemcrashed 3-4 weeks build time seems like a long estimate, I believe/hope it has sped up since those estimates were being made last month.
May 20, 2016
jsollender Someone in another post has delivery of their MX that was manufactured 5/5/16. So 2 weeks from manufacturing into his hands bodes well for less than 6-8 weeks from start to delivery.
May 20, 2016
loganintx I thought manufacturing date only shows Month and Year. How did he know the day?
May 20, 2016
vandacca Correct. The Month/Year is only thing listed in the door sticker. Someone got confused and assumed May 5, 2016, probably because May is the 5th month. But we don't actually know the exact date.
May 20, 2016
loganintx I wish you'd get a timelapse video as an easter egg viewable on the touchscreen showing you your car going through the assembly line
May 20, 2016
NovemberXray That would be awesome! Maybe some day we will be able to watch the entire production in real time.
May 20, 2016
llngoc Just got an email from my DS, we are looking at an early June production start with late June/early July delivery here at the factory. VIN 78XX. Fingers crossed for a late June delivery.
May 20, 2016
DocZ Same here!
May 20, 2016
loganintx That's pretty good. Basically same timeline for delivery for me in Texas but I'm 2400 spots ahead of you in the VIN sequence.
May 20, 2016
Debaser I'm excited so I need to put it out there, my MX entered production today! My DS shot me an email to let me know. My VIN is 46XX, and I ordered a 90D, with Obsidian black metallic, 20" wheels, black leather, carbon fiber, 6 seat, and then every other option. Psyched!
May 20, 2016
dapao my DS informed me just now that my 80XX is scheduled into production at Mid June. I am in Michigan. I guess July might be quite possible.
May 20, 2016
goneskiian Hmmm, the last 2 posts pretty much straddle my VIN. Maybe I can expect an update soon as well.

May 20, 2016
bikeandsail Just got an email from my DS saying my X is now in transit and to expect it about mid June! I had not been informed it was even in production!
May 20, 2016
phren0logy My VIV 54XX 90D is still out in the ether. My DS says production will start in early June, but I'm hoping to see it sooner.
May 20, 2016
goneskiian Nice! You're VIN is higher than mine but it's also a P. I'm getting my hopes up that mine will here sooner than the last "late June" estimate I got. Fingers crossed!
May 20, 2016
SSD420 I got similar news for VIN 76XX, but was told July was most likely.
May 20, 2016
SSD420 Did you preorder / reserve? I pretty much ordered the same car.
May 20, 2016
Debaser I reserved in August 2015, and confirmed on February 3.
May 20, 2016
SSD420 But you're in the USA, aren't you?
May 20, 2016
Debaser Yep, right outside Nashville, TN.
May 20, 2016
SSD420 Us Canadians seem to get the short end of the stick. Our waiting game is twice as long
May 20, 2016
BizJet Interesting (and disappointing) conversation with my DS today. Despite the fact that my MX 90D entered production in late March, it continues to sit in "factory gate" status in Fremont, which is exactly the same status that's been reported for four weeks now. I would have expected it to be in transit to Massachusetts a long time ago.
Not sure whether this is just the company line, but he said that there has been a slowing of cars through the pipeline in the last couple of weeks, "because we need to make certain that every car is as current as possible with the latest engineering". And then he cited the seat recall as an example of another engineering item that held up deliveries a couple of months ago.
I really don't know whether he knew something about a change that's coming about, or whether this is just what they say when there is an inexplicable delay. I see other deliveries being made, and it has me worried that there was some kind of testing fail on my particular vehicle that caused a substantial re-work.
Has anyone else seen a "factory gate" hold for four weeks after production? Any ideas?
May 20, 2016
VABarb When you say your car entered production in March - do you mean that you were in the production queue? or were you told that it was 'In production'? If it was 'in production queue' then that just meant you were in line for your car to be produced - not actually being produced. If it was actually in production this is a very unusual situation compared to other posts. I am wondering if the problem may be your DS not understanding what he/she was reading and then miscommunicating to you. I say this because I have not read any other posts on any other threads describing anything similar to your situation. I do know there are longer post production waits for shipping (they are using rail now and it takes 3wks to get to east coast) and some delays while they gather cars for shipment.
May 20, 2016
BizJet No, in late February I was told I was had entered the production queue for mid-March. In late March, I was told that the car was in production. Then around April 10th they said it was in post-production testing, and would enter transport shortly. Starting about April 20th, they said it was in "factory gate" status, and would be in transit soon.
That's what's so puzzling here: that I see other vehicles move through the various stages of production and transit, while mine is reported just sitting there, waiting for something to happen. That's what makes me wonder if something is amiss...
May 20, 2016
systemcrashed They may be batching east coast shipments, and it so happens you may be waiting for other vehicles ordered from your region to be completed and shipped. I was told that even if my X is produced by the end of May, it may be a while until they can get it on transport to florida.
May 21, 2016
Leodoc well i got a less than happy email yesterday....
So I confirmed in January. 90D, etc etc...VIN 4xxx
My original timeline was set for April delivery. Then it became May....
most recently...it was Mid-may production with June delivery. Thus I've been in this thread.
So the email yesterday? I'm "on track" for a June build...and lord knows when delivery.
4 months after my order was confirmed...and nothing...not any closer than when my order was confirmed and my $5,000 taken out of my pocket. I can't get mad my my DS..he's very nice...and there's nothing he can say. He's the middle man. He keeps telling me "it's worth the wait"...and I believe it. Also, he offered me to come in and drive the model x they have there. He's been responsive and pleasant. No concerns with him.
I'm very unhappy with Tesla. This is absolute s#*t. My friend ordered his same model x one month after me and has had his for 4 weeks already. This is frankly frustrating and borderline inexcusable. There is no communication as to why I keep getting pushed back. There is no compensation for poor communication and disorganization. I was ok with getting pushed to june because of QC issues/third row crap...but now? I think there is little excuse for this.
Needless to say what option do I have? I'm not just walking away from my $5k....but I honestly am second guessing the model S as my next car (model x is for my wife)...much less the model 3 that I put a deposit on.
Elon/Tesla, stop setting expectations for customers then not meeting them. Ever heard of the concept of under promising and over delivering? The exact opposite leads to disappointment, anger, and resentment.
Rant over.
May 21, 2016
onesixeight I totally feel you. I'm in the same boat except I don't even get a nice DS with any updates.
I have always felt that if the company does not deliver the car within a reasonable amount of time, they should return the deposit back to the customer.
Sadly, Elon's concept of deadlines is the opposite of what you are suggesting. Over promise and under deliver. They are just tools for him to push his team to meet deadlines as mentioned in the investor conference call.
May 21, 2016
socalsam @Leodoc - that sucks. I have VIN 42xx and finally have delivery scheduled for next friday. Im sorry that yours hasnt even gone into production.
May 21, 2016
majgill I don't post much but after reading through this. I will say wow. Guys just chill. You are buying a tesla. I put down deposit for model s in 2010 and I was given delivery date of 2013 feb. I never made a fuss about this as I knew what I was getting into it. I never even bothered about it and I don't recall getting a email from delivery specialist email till a day before. Congratulations Mr gill you are getting delivery in December I said when she goes in 2 days. Never applied for loan as tesla wasn't dealing with loans directly neither leases. I said I need to get a loan and I got bank of America loan in a day and I picked up my car on Saturday. There were no superchargers on that time you guys are lucky as we never test drove our cars on that time. I ordered my model x on 7 may and confirmed on may 15. Never looked who is my ds just received a email that so and so I my ds and if you have any question just please reach out to me. When I ordered it was given june delivery. I am not bothered even they give me first week of july. because nothing is going to happen even I whine on this. I will get my x when its ready. I would say stop looking into this. Just relax and you will enjoy once you get your car. This is different type of company and stuff is totally new and I am sure they are also working to improve their production. I am sure they want to deliver your car on time if they can.
May 21, 2016
VABarb Well said...
May 21, 2016
goneskiian Are you willing to share who your Seattle DS is? Thanks.
May 21, 2016
zooooooom Just got a great email from DS... Car should start production at the end of May and we should be behind the wheel at the end of June. For all the impatient people on this forum.... I am original model s owner and put down a deposit long before there was even a car to see or drive. It was a sort of a "movement" at that time... everyone put a deposit down and everyone bought the stock and prayed this company would change the world. If you think you are waiting long... you would have died on the original s list (no vin, no end in sight, no idea when or if it would happen) ... we all probably waited 2-3 years for the car ... here's how handled the wait...we all just stuck together and were patient and looked at the purchase as an amazing event that would soon change the world for the better. Remember there was a time not too long ago was there wasn't one electric car to be found on the roads anywhere... Now look at us, model s car's everywhere, you can drive cross country without an ounce of gasoline and and now the american dream... the suv of electric cars... the model x. If you really need vs want an suv you can go to the local volvo and chevy dealership and buy one today and drive it off the lot tonight. Tesla compared to ford and chevy a small startup with an amazing dream that's changing the world and keeping us less reliant on middle east oil. be patient and enjoy the wait and your model x friends, trust me it will be here soon and be awesome. If you need to rant... just open the window of your house or apartment and yell .. "i'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" it will make you fell better and then go back to the four and chat with your new best friends nicely
Zoooooom

Leodoc
Here's the thing.
I get it. I put the order in in January...and said to my wife "later this year". I didn't bother from there...just kinda sat back.
Here is where things change....
1. Tesla GIVING me a timeline. Then missing it. Then missing it again....and again. Don't set the standard/bar if you aren't going to meet it. That's not only good business sense...but generally good sense in life when dealing with people.
2. Tesla TELLING me to get my financing ready cause we were getting there. Then I did that, had the bank run my credit...for what? nothing...to get it run again whenever the car gets here. That's more than frustrating. Granted I could've waited till the last second in retrospect, but at the time, why would I have any reason to doubt them?
3. My friend already driving his even after ordering a month after me...i get regional delivery systems...but this one just bothers a bit..the first few are more relevant to what Tesla is doing wrong
It just goes back to my main point. Tell customers "expect august delivery" and let it show in July. Don't string customers along.
On a more broad note...we are early adopters...lovers of technology...we have some logic to try to be patient with this process. If you think this crap is going to fly with the general public come model 3 time, you are very mistaken. People will pull their $1k deposit by the thousands if they do this.
And for the record sir, i hope you love your tesla! all good things to you man....just a discussion among gentlemen.
May 21, 2016
llngoc We ordered the exact same date and we are both close to the factory. Let's see who is going to get the car first.

May 21, 2016
onesixeight I'll privately PM you with his name.
May 21, 2016
onesixeight I'm an original S owner too and this is my 3rd Tesla. The difference now, and the reason I didn't put an X deposit 2-3 years ago with the X was announced is because I like to see what I'm buying. I applaud brave folks like you who buy a car unseen or without any details but I'm not that person and I don't think we should assume the general car buying public is so forgiving.
Here is what I expect, and like you said, we all have different expectations when we buying a car. Some are multi millionaires that have multiple vehicles and don't care when their car arrives. Others need a car to do conduct their business and that's the camp I fall in. I sold my S because I was told by Tesla that if you order today, we can get you a car mid-May. Ok, fine, not a big deal to carpool with friends, use Uber, etc. So mid-May is now and I don't even have any outlook as far as when this car is coming. If you told me that you didn't have a good estimate, I wouldn't have sold my S or I would have bought another car.
The difference ordering my S back in 2012 is that we didn't expect the car to come by a certain date. Production didn't start yet, so I didn't expect a car, so I bought another car to drive until that date was known. Now this is a production car where you quote people a short term estimated delivery date.
My only reason for posting this, and I know I'm not going to get my deposit back, but I want Tesla to be a better company. The company they advertise as being a different car company. Not the sleazy dealerships that we all hate walking into with high pressured sales and company policies that are not pro-consumer. If the vehicle is delayed beyond a reasonable amount of time or there is some significant delay in production, give the consumer the option to take their deposit back so they can decide if they want to wait or take their business elsewhere.
May 21, 2016
Brandon332 @BizJet im a Mass reservation holder that just test drove the X today in Dedham. 75D order, fully loaded and no VIN. This was the first time i visited Dedham in 2 months and the entire lot was filled with cars. About 20-25 X's, the rest S's. But mostly X's, every spot was filled and I had to park in a handicap spot. Many had covers over certain areas and were being worked on. There's clearly some backlog here and this may explain why they haven't shipped yours yet. There's a forum on here I started titled "air suspension required for 6/7 seats, what about 75D orders?". Check out the latest post I recently put on their with a ton of info that you'll want to know that I learned. I hope that they will produce my 75D real quick and ship it with yours, but since I don't have a Vin it's unlikely, however this info is very relevant to your situation regardless. In addition, they say they get trucks with cars every few days. Let me know if you've heard anything interesting, thanks!
May 22, 2016
BizJet BTW, @VABarb, I see that yours has identical color and configuration to mine -- 90D, Midnight Silver, Tan, 6 seat, ash,, etc. You have good taste!
My order was confirmed January 7th, about 2-1/2 weeks before yours. And it's traveling just about the same distance. With luck, you won't run into the same delays. I just hit 5 weeks post production, waiting for transport. Maybe I should have flown to SFO and driven it back east myself!

majgill @Leodoc .Yes I loved my car. So far I put 89000 miles in 3 years. I always leased my cars for 36 months as I got sick of cars and guess what this is the first car which I drove for that many miles. I know wait is hard. My wife ordered new Audi 2017 q7 in April and I just got a call from my dealer that car is getting shipped out of Germany on 28th may so I would another month or so till we get that one. Most likely I will get both cars on june end or first week of july.

loganintx I just got an update from my DS. I stopped by the SC today at lunch time to tell her thanks for getting my Tow Package upgrade added on without the $500 change fee. I had originally purchased the Accessory Hitch but since there is so much confusion about what that will really mean I decided to go Full Tow! It took her about a week and she updated me several times in the process but this morning she said it was approved and the change fee was waived!
Also, and this is the good part, she said that my car was one of the ones that is being pushed up. This means that it can go in to production any day now and is expected to be done with production by the end of next week. This is a slight improvement from my last status which was production will be the first week of June. She told me she was going to email me the details later today once she was able to read through more of the information.
As far as I know, this is the first time a production timeline status has moved in the positive direction!
PS. My DS is fantastic!

Got the email on 3/11 that my order was going into production for April delivery then got delayed due to production halt and recall.
Got notified that production started on 5/9. Here we are 16 days later and it's still "in production." I talk to my DS who is so awesome a LOT, but she gets very little info. im hoping its done soon, but now being told to expect a mid to late June delivery. Ugh.
DSs have told me from beginning if production to delivery can run anywhere from 4-8 weeks.
Super excited to get this car, but equally frustrated by delays. Do you think Tesla should do something to make up the delays to long time reservation holders? If so, what?
I'm on the fence, but curious what the groups opinions are seeing as someone that orders an X today will supposedly get it in July according to the website.

Leodoc Curious...
You confirmed in December? ...but your VIN is 58xx?
I know there is no rhyme or reason as to how they are building them by VIN....but considering you confirming so early...shouldn't you have a lower VIN number?
May 26, 2016
BizJet Wow -- my MX has been out of production now for six weeks, and continues to be listed with status "factory gate routing" -- I.e. sitting in Fremont, waiting for something to happen.
My DS is mystified. He says if it failed QA and was sent back for repair or rework it would have had a different status.
Unfortunately I committed to selling my old car based on an earlier worst-case delivery estimate of mid-May.
I understand that's on me -- I probably should not have acted upon even the worst-case estimate from my DS.
But I post this not to whine but as a cautionary tale to those who are getting production completion notices and estimates: it can take months after production to even get the car in your hands!
May your experience be better than mine!
May 26, 2016
dapao You can rent a car to do the transition. It won't last too long
May 26, 2016
BizJet Of course I can, and that's what I am doing. I just wish they can either figure out what's going on or offer me a little more transparency to the process.
The DS even suggested the possibility that someone has lost track of the car, since other shipments have been coming east since mine was produced.
May 26, 2016
Leodoc So sorry to hear man. Gotta be frustrating.
I had similar issues with prior order of a car (Charger Hellcat)....it literally got lost in route from canada. No one had a clue. It took a month after the car was produced and shipped to get to florida.
hope it gets there soon
May 26, 2016
Piney999 Can't the DS talk to an employ at the factory and find out the Whole story? This should be one of the many benefits of not having to go through dealership. I would lean on that DS a bit more until they talk to a supervisor in Freemont and get some answers. Just my $.02
May 26, 2016
n88 Originally ordered 5 seat but got call in March if upgraded to 6 seat they'd give me April delivery. I agreed, otherwise I still wouldn't even have a VIN.
May 26, 2016
BizJet Thanks, @Piney999 -- that is exactly my plan. DS opened a support ticket with Fremont and are going to try to track my car down. Also said they would supply a rental car (maybe they should offer a loaner S?) to bridge me if it's still not here when I return from a business trip in 10 days, since I sold my old car based on their previous worst-case estimate.
So I believe they are honestly acting in good faith -- it's just that the system seems to have lost track of my car at the factory.
May 28, 2016
Carneiro I touched base with my DS today and he said the car has finished production and is on the way. He said he does not have a firm date for delivery yet, but it should happen before a planned vacation trip at the end of June.
Based on the reports of lots of Model Xs spotted at the SC here in Boston and on the news today, it sounds like east coast deliveries are picking up steam.
May 28, 2016
MattXowner How long did it take from start to the end of production? Mine supposedly started May 9th.
May 29, 2016
Carneiro I don't hava exact dates, but on May 16 the DS said the car was "going through general assembly phase". Yesterday he said the car had completed production and was "on the way", estimating delivery before June 20, when I have a trip planned.
This inconsistency on how information is relayed to customers by Tesla, even by the same crew of a given SC, is really pathetic.
May 29, 2016
llngoc Spoke with my DS 2-3 days ago on an unrelated subject but he mentioned that he is expecting my car to enter production early June. (Next week???) And delivery in the 3rd week of June. I think being so close to the factory may help since TSLA may want to to pull in as much revenue as possible before Q2 closes. I am expecting one of those Cashier Check only deal again as I did for the Model S.
May 29, 2016
Merrill My DS knows nothing and it takes days for him to respond to my emails. I think the Delivery Specialist term is misleading, if you are specializing in delivering something then you need to have all the information related to that job. I do not think Tesla tells them anything.
May 29, 2016
VABarb Mine took 2 weeks.
PS : you can put your car info in your signature - see mine...
May 29, 2016
Carneiro Signature update: Done! I will add some more details later.
May 29, 2016
jhcw Got roughly the same line from my DS - I'm a 67xx Vin ordered just a few days after you, and he said 1st 2 weeks of June production, but non committal on delivery - late June early July. Also Bay Area.
May 29, 2016
llngoc You actually have an earlier VIN than mine. Fingers crossed for all of us who live around the factory. I have no doubt that TSLA will try their best to close the deal before end of quarter.
May 29, 2016
Coolcarx My car was delivered almost 3 months after production. It seems most employees are on a need-to-know basis. The best thing you can do is just ignore estimates and not expect any real time frame. It seem If they run into a problem they have no clue how long it will take to get fixed. Maybe they are learning all new how-to fix procedures for the X.
May 29, 2016
Drivin If they are forecasting deliveries in August for X's ordered today (and June for when this thread started), and they had around 30k pre-orders according to Elon just 9 months ago, then the Q2 numbers for X deliveries are going to be huuuuuuuuggge! 15k? 20k?
They are clearing up that backlog real nicely and it is great that new orders can get processed so quickly!
May 29, 2016
systemcrashed Your Q2 numbers seem a bit exaggerated... But I think that was intentionalrealistically X deliveries below 10k, more like 7-8k overall. But I sense things will be a lot better in Q3.

RClarke Confirmed my P90D on Feb 7th.
Not sure when VIN 11xx was assigned.
March and April email estimated April/early May delivery.
According to DS this week, delivery to Tyson SC to occur this weekend.
Website still says vehicle "in the factory production queue".
Anyone else have website info vastly different from what the DS is saying?
How does the website info get updated - from SC or Fremont?
May 29, 2016
Drivin How so?
They had 30k preorders in October.
They delivered 2500 in q1 and a couple hundred in q4
So it they are now taking new orders, including the lower end version, and delivering them in 2-3 months, they must have clear the vast amount of the backlog by the end of Q2.
There is no way they only did 10k (less than half the orders) while delivering on new cars
This is the exponential ramp they talked about in the beginning of the year
May 29, 2016
systemcrashed You are assuming all 30k reservation holders have confirmed, this is not the case afaik.
May 29, 2016
DiveDeep Correct me if I am wrong, but.. I don't think we have seen VINs much higher than the low 5XXXs being delivered, so how do you come up with over 10k already? I know they are not going exactly in sequence, but if they had delivered near 10k, the new VINs being issued would be well above that!
Me thinks you be the ultimate optimist, this glass isn't half full, it has way over flowed and is filling the neighbor's pool!
May 29, 2016
K-MTG My high 5xxx was delivered two weeks ago and some reported seeing some 6xxxx
May 29, 2016
UnitaryExecutive While it feels like MX production has ramped up, it doesn't feel like they hit 750 / week production rate until this month and I'm a little skeptical that they would run the lines at full speed given some problems we're still seeing + number of flawed vehicles still coming off the lines. Thus, a best case scenario of production from May to end of June is 6000 and the production lines were slowed down a bit in April, so maybe 2000 total in April for a total of 8k X's and 12k S's for 20k.
More realistically, I think full production didn't start until recently and we're looking at a slight production miss for this quarter(maybe made up with S's). I think they manufacture 6k up from ~2.3k in Q1, which lines up with VINs now issued in June/July in the 8xxx and 9xxx range.
As far as X demand I think up to 1/3 aren't confirmed or are canceled so they're getting close to the end of the US reservations with 2-3K probably 5 seat and non-SAS 75d configs or about 15k total in the US and 10k international orders.
May 30, 2016
Leodoc
and my vin 45xx is not even in production...till maybe next month....so that doesn't tell us much.

May 30, 2016
stevesmitg @ Loganintx, I have vin 55xx 90D/Red/Tan/Prem/AP also confirmed on 3/18 looking for delivery in Austin. MVPA also executed on May 4, told last week Car is in Paint so hoping for Mid June delivery. When I purchased my S was told payment required before car leaving CA due to TX rules and DS to inform when to make payment...no word yet
May 30, 2016
VABarb Welcome @RClarke
Quick catch-up for you. Website info is not regularly updated and is different from more current DS info. Don't let it freak you out.
Don't go by std forms on website.. your DS should be source of info
Add your specs in your signature - see mine - it helps folks know what group of like cars you are in.
So excited for you.. you should be getting car soon!! Please post pics for those of us waiting!!
May 30, 2016
loganintx I upgraded to Tow Package just a week or so ago. I will get an update from Magz tomorrow to see if mine entered production yet. My MVPA did not update but my Order Agreement did update yesterday.
May 30, 2016
Librae My DS said my car was in the early stages of production and reaffirmed a mid-June delivery for my 90D vin 53xx. The black cloth seats might have had something to do with the delay.
May 30, 2016
RClarke VABarb, Thanks for the explanation.
I should know tomorrow if the MX was delivered to the SC over the weekend.
I believe I need a few more posts before I can enter a signature. For now,
Model X P90D | VIN 11xx | Solid White | 20 | Ultra White | Dark Ash | 6S | AP | PUP | UHFS | SWP
May 30, 2016
MattXowner Stopped by the service center on a whim tonight to see what vehicles were being delivered and guess what? Mine was there!!
So excited. It looks amazing. I can't wait to get behind the wheel.
Quick question to the group as I don't have a great eye for detail, do the doors look misaligned to you? Worth mentioning or not?
May 30, 2016
ModelX They look good to me; similar to mine.
really hope it happens in June.
