Uncgolf My new tailgate arrived today at the local SC. They say it should take a week to put it on and do all the prep. If all things go without a hitch, I should get it a week from tomorrow. I was able to see it today and take it for a short test drive. I was very happy with the way the new leather seats look and feel and the front windshield is awesome. Ludicrous acceleration for a SUV is the bomb too.

dadaleus F00058 is delivered. It's gorgeous! Super happy with it. The Sig red paint looks great. I'm really glad we got founders so we could get the Sig red again (after we dropped our original Sig reservation, which was picked up by Bonnie).
We took it for a short drive to Precision Film Solutions in Santa Ana to get paint armor and to test the windows to see if there's any need to add UV protection. It's hard getting it for just a few minutes and then giving it up for a few days again, but I don't want to get any rock chips or paint damage before it gets protected.

LeonardD I think that statement will most certainly apply to the non P 90D also. the P90DL is only 1.6 seconds faster 0-60. That is a lot when you sit in the car, but if you are sitting next to it in just about anything else, you will be surprised by how fast it is.�

andrewket Funny. It's currently on our Honda Civic as a placeholder. The X is replacing our Lexus hybrid which has grandfathered clean fuel tags. I have to figure out how to get "TESLAX" (no space, because it won't fit on the clean energy tags) onto the a grandfathered tag. I assume they kept some amount of old stock for plates that are damaged. You can't call the normal DMV because the special fuel tags are all handled in Richmond.�

SQLCPH What timf says. I used my +10 pcs of credits buying a new model S so it's definitely possible but required some back office work!! And as Tim says the "old" credits can't be used for a mx.

Uncgolf I know the old credits can not be used for the X, but the email said the new $3500 credit (in lieu of the Powerwall) could be used for either X or S. It sounds like gforce heard that it can no be used for the Founders X..which makes no sense to me.�

If I hadn't paid for the car in full already I definitely should be able to use it. Now they'll have to cut me check, but I'm sure that's happened before (over payment), or someone financed 100% and wanted their cash deposit back.�

g-force I don't have solar and just found out my utility charges same
regardless of time of day you use it so powerwall only good
for power outages so I'm changing to 3500 goodies.
Might get another set 21" greys to resell for cheap.

notblueclk I agree that if you're not planning to have solar, thats an issue. But it's not just trying to arbitrage an on-peak/off-peak delta. You can do that with solar alone, since on-peak is usually when the sun is shining. The real value is in the fact that most utilities buy electricity from solar at a rate far lower than what they sell. For example, my utility sells me electricity at $.11/KWh, but would only buy my excess at $.02/KWh. By storing my electricity in a Powerwall, I get its full value by not buying the electricity from the utility.�

Uncgolf Finally got to pick up my FBR X today. It went off without a hitch, The trunk hatch matches perfectly and they were able to apply the $3500 Powerwall credit to the Founders X. Very impressed with the interior and how big the car feels with the gigantic windshield.
For some reason the software update for my X was prior to the Auto opening door update. They said they updated my car last night, but it does not have any of the auto opening controls. HmmHave all X owners gotten the newest software update?�

Uncgolf #68, my rear hatch was dented during transportation. I had to wait a month for them to manufacture a new hatch, delivery it and then install it. Still not sure why I do not have the latest software though. I am on 7.1 (2.10.71) instead of 7.1 (2.11.54). In addition, my Tesla app does not recognize my X, so summons does not work.�

Thorsten Tesla opened the configuration for European FBR Model X yesterday. The design studio shows the standard options for Signature Model X where all extras except from ludicrous mode, cold weather package and tow package are included.
I got the information from my sales advisor that if I want the additional extras I�ll have to pay the base price of the Model X P90D plus 10.900 � for ludicrous mode, 1.100 � for cold weather package and 800 � for tow package.
As far as I read from posts in this forum these extras where included in the US FBR Model X. Is this correct?�

andrewket It's a little confusing.
In the US, we paid a fixed amount regardless of the options (including Ludicrous, tow, wheels, and cold weather).
Most options showed as included, but ludicrous, tow, wheels, and weather showed their option price. The total was shown, then a credit equal to the amount necessary to bring it back to the fixed price. Taxes were added on at the end, based on the total price, which means paying taxes on the additional options.
My guess is your sales rep just doesn't understand the nuance, which isn't surprising since the FbRs are unusual.�

The garage is just a bit too tight for the FWDs. They open, but not all the way, and not consistently. This week I'm going to change out the opener for a jack screw type (wall mount) and raise the tracks. It should solve the problem.
Summon gets the first set of tires in, but won't apply enough torque on the second set to get over the slight lip. Same thing as the S.�

Uncgolf Just put my Signature Red Founders up for auction on Ebay. Enjoyed the 3 week trial and more than a little curious as where the bidding will stop. Went for $30k to over $100K in the first few hours. I walked up to my S today and the door did not open...I was sad.�

While in Geneva (Great to see the model X in real life AND Great to see the crowds at the Tesla stand) I got an email from someone from inside sales that I could "make my configuration more complete at no additional cost"... Coming back on Saturday I could not reach him, so I was just hoping this meant Ludicrous as I did not select that option yet... of course, it could also be an extra seat cushion or.... so based on my earlier experiences I was not sure yet... but reading this makes me happy!�

Reeler To answer my own question, $115.5K is the base Model X90P as stated way earlier in this thread. One thing that was nice is that on my Chase financing through Tesla, the referral program credit counted toward my down payment. The full amount was subject to sales tax however.�

A lot of doubt about 6 or 7, the carbon etc. (Thank you all for posting pics and debating 6 or 7 seats... it was really helpful for my decision... ) but now I am very happy with my choice... Now the waiting begins... they say mid Summer... so hoping August, expecting September... Maybe... maybe, June just to make shareholders happy with the announcement that the first have been delivered in Europe? Wishful thinking I guess... but who knows?�

omega731 I live in the US and have a Sinature Series X. My VIN has FS in the 11th and 12th position, and the Founders have FF. Not sure if that is different for EU, contact Tesla they should be able to explain if there is a difference.�
