I think some law in California or us prevent the front trunk from being automatic. Something to do with being able to access the hood manually if something goes wrong with the engine in ice cars

    Happy Saturday.

I got a software update notification this AM. Was very excited to see what new features would be installed, but a bit confused because when it was done the release notes showed v7.1 for middle seat controls. I could have sworn I already had this installed o_O. Also, it'd be nice for the update notification to show release notes prior to installing. That way, I can make a better decision as to whether I want the update immediately or if I should postpone.

It was raining today, so I got to use the wipers. In short, underwhelmed with them. These are my complaints:
    • The left wiper wiggles/jiggles, that's out of character for this car.
    • The automatic wiper is either too fast or doesn't wipe when I need it to. I resort to manually flicking it on/off.
    • After awhile, it makes a squeaking rubbing sound, which again is out of character for this car.

Also including a video of the assisted driving features following a curved road all by itself. To be honest, I felt nervous about it the whole time and I think it will take some time before I fully trust a car to drive itself. For now, I am perfectly happy to be in control at all times :D

Some good news and bad with my Model X today.

    Starting with the bad.
    • Got my first paint scratch today - the falcon wing doors hit a joist under the deck and there's a white mark on my silver paint. I've opened under here before, and this is the first time it didn't stop before hitting. Bummer, the sensors need to be a lot more sensitive in my opinion.

Instagram photo by @yz778 Jun 20, 2016 at 2:17am UTC

    • The 2nd row seats went on the fritz. Kept getting a complaining about unlatch seats, and the car kept beeping as I drove home. A bit stressful as I had my 3 kids sitting there and a passenger in the back. No amount of button pushing worked. There's another thread on this, and other owners say it clears by itself after charging. Hope that's the case because I don't have time to bring it to the store. Unsettling, I hate when things don't work and I can't figure out why.
    And now, the good.

    • The Autopark works! I finally noticed the screen prompt when I was backing into a spot, and let the car take over. It is pretty freaking amazing watching the car park itself. This was a perpendicular parking spot, and it worked like a charm. I will be on the hunt for parallel parking spot (which I'm terrible at because I worry about curbing) and will gram that too!

Got my wheels painted black, looks amazing (I'm biased :p). When I did the design studio, black wasn't a choice on the Signature Model X w/20" wheels. But I am so thrilled with how this turned out.

Me again, I had to pick up something early this AM so streets were pretty clear. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out the automatic parallel parking in a safe environment (i.e. no other cars around, fewer pedestrians watching in case things go horribly wrong). Video:

I didn't think I'd ever use the driver-assisted features when ordering my Model X but so glad I added them. The auto-parking, auto-driving - these really add so much to the driving (non-driving?) experience of Tesla ownership. It's extra money, but if you're already ordering one I'd highly recommend you pay up. It's worth it, so cool!

So, the problem I was having with my middle row seats turns out to be more serious. I emailed the fine folks at my Tesla SC and brought the car down this afternoon. They had to take things apart and are doing some diagnosis, so sadly I'm leaving my X overnight. They did hook me up with a Model S P90D Ludicrous though, and that's a pretty fantastic ride so I'm not really complaining.

A few things I learned while chatting with the service techs.

Falcon Wing Doors - Exercise Caution
    • The sensors can't see everything, they are spherical cones and can get tripped up at certain ranges. Lucky me, that's how I got my scratch from the Falcon Wing doors hitting low ceiling joists.

    • The plastic bottom of the Falcon Wing doors are pressure sensitive. If it hits something, if you push on it - it will stop.

    • From the touchscreen you can control how tall it opens, but not from the remote. There is also no manual way to open the doors. So, in short, if you want to keep the doors damage free be aware of where you are. There is no safe way to open these in sketchy spots, you have been warned.

    • There are no sensors under the doors, until it hits something. So, keep people and pets away when operating these. The doors open and close pretty fast, its not pleasant getting hit by them (I know from a few experiences).

    Failed Software Updates
    • Even if most of the updates succeed, as long as something doesn't work you'll get the failed to update notice. Unfortunately there is no easy way for you to know what worked and didn't. An option to see more details for the more technical customers would be a nice touch.
    Resetting Locked Screens
    • The touchscreen can lock up. I've done this by using the browser to go to a complicated webpage. When I did that, the entire touchscreen became unresponsive and I couldn't tap on anything. This is kind of a big problem especially if it happens while you're driving (e.g. passenger is browsing, and locks you up).

    • To reset the touchscreen, hold down the two steering wheel roller buttons. I haven't tried this (since my car is in the shop) but I assume it works.

    • To reset the dashboard screen, hold the top 2 steering wheel buttons (volume up and voice command). Again I haven't tried this, but I'm sure it works.
    Model S -vs- Model X
    • There are even less storage spots in the Model S than the X! The huge trough is very very big. This space is begging for factory storage compartments. The driver side door on the S also doesn't have the map pocket, not sure about the other ones I didn't check but that seems like a pretty obvious thing to have. I thought the X was lacking in storage compartments, the S has even less

    • The S looks much nicer than the X, it's beautiful and well proportioned. It turns heads just by standing still. The X looks like a generic round-blob CUV/SUV and no one will notice unless they are Tesla fans or until you open the Falcon Wing Doors.

    • Ludicrous mode in a Model S is very fast. Although, Insane mode in the Model X is good enough for me (I think).

    • I prefer the Model X, it feel more refined. I'm biased, I love my car.

I've prepped a crib sheet for common questions :D

    ---

    Q. What is this?
    A. Tesla Model X, it's an electric SUV.

    Q. How fast does it go?
    A. Much faster than it needs to, but I'm not complaining.

    Q. What's the best feature in this car?
    A. Almost everything. But, the doors tho...

    Q. Can you open the doors?
    A. Thought you'd never ask! (clicks remote)

    Q. What's the best part about owning this car?
    A. Talking to people like you.

    Q. Should I buy one?
    A. Yes

Spent this AM rewatching Revenge of the Electric Car and just in awe of how much conviction Elon had his dream. To commit so fully, despite what must have appeared as insurmountable odds. Huge respect to him; the Tesla team; all the early supporters for paving the way to mass market EV adoption.

I love my Model X. It's an amazing automobile. Ignore the negative reviews, ignore the concerns about this or that. If you're in the market for an SUV in this price range, there is quite simply nothing else like it.

The driving experience is rarely talked about in reviews. So I'll try. The confidence to know you can accelerate faster than anyone is very satisfying. The regenerative braking, almost never having to brake is so fantastic. I'm so much more relaxed on the road, I love driving again. Oh and the Falcon Wing doors. Issues aside, it is iconic and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Love. It.

Happy Wednesday, some observations after the last software upgrade.

    Falcon Wing Doors
    • They open more conservatively now. Previously, they'd open fully in my garage (lots of clearance) but not they only go part way. Not a problem for my young kids, but I'd imagine an adult would now need to duck their head to get in.
    Auto Parking
    • The detection seems to have improved, I get a lot more prompts to self park now and use it whenever I can

    • Although, I have stopped using the self parallel parking. It seems to be a lot more aggressive in terms of how close (and fast) it approaches the curb. I've stopped it each time because it feels like my wheels are gonna get scratched. A slower approach will inspire a lot more confidence.
It is so cool to have new features to test, looking forward to the next update!

So my kids are in the car and tell me there's something weird with the sunroof. Turns out there is a crack that runs the length of it, on my right Falcon Wing door.

Didn't see any obvious points of impact, and it's a pretty symmetrical crack so I'm gonna guess this wasn't cause by someone.

Emailed my Service Centre, will see what they say.

Only just reading this thread so this is a bit stale. I just drove my new X 90D from Vancouver to Summerland and I have thrice done this trip in a P85D. You can definitely do this trip without charging in Merritt though my winter drive was pretty mild conditions. The important thing as others have pointed out is to make sure you charge fully, or at least charge well beyond the suggested stopping point. Alternatively, don't drive at 120. To give you an example, when I was recently charging my X, the car notified me that I had sufficient charge to continue. The energy trip graph suggested that I would arrive in Summerland with 10% remaining. I allowed the car to charge until it suggested there would be 20% remaining. Once I was on the coquihalla and driving 120-129 for a relatively short while, the car had dropped its estimated arrival charge to 10% from 20%. At some points in the drive this went as low as 8%. I kept my speed at 120 - no speeding - and periodically when behind a slower vehicle I let my speed go down for a period of time until the estimate increased. Note that I was using low to very low suspension and I had range mode turned on. When I arrived in Summerland, I had 12% left so I'm guessing that if I had believed the prediction software, I would have been very close to empty, particularly if I hadn't slowed down. Of course when they eventually finish Merritt, we will be able to take more risks as we can always use Merritt as a backup.

Congrats on your MX and thanks for the info! My Summerland trip is coming up soon so this is very timely info. I will take a full charge in Hope and ease off the accelerator for the rest of the way.

The other consideration now is what to do once I am in Summerland for charging. My brother in law is setting up a 240 for me to charge in his garage but other than that I'm not familiar with my other options in town.

Any Tesla owners in the Okanagan area interested in a meet up? DM me with your info, would love to have a coffee together or quick bite.

I will PM you as my HPWC charger is outside and can be made available. The Summerland resort has an HPWC as well but it's for guests only. In Summerland town centre they have EV charging but it seemed to need some kind of special card. Kind of ridiculous for tourists who inevitably don't have the card. I don't think locals would make much use of these and there are at least two EV equipped parking lots in close proximity. If I get a chance I'll note the company name as it may be a common one in the Vancouver area.

Kelowna has an SC which is never busy. Merritt is getting a supercharger this year per an email I got from Tesla. When I charged the 10% extra in Hope beyond what the app said was sufficient, I ended up in Merritt with warnings that I had to drop the speed to 85 kmh in order to make it over the connector to Kelowna. I was definitely driving briskly between Hope and Merritt but then again my Audi was fine to do the stretch at any speed I felt safe travelling (somewhere between the speed limit and the speed limiter, cough cough). We drove 110 over the connector and made it home with 5% but it was a bit disappointing. I think the range calculations were designed for the S and that the X uses more juice when you are climbing over passes. Hope to Merritt to Kelowna is likely 12,000' of vertical (done it twice coming the other way on my bicycle and that is the number). I wrote the Tesla charging team about this and not sure if software updates have adjusted for elevation changes in the trip planner.

I splurged on the Chademo adaptor so I can top up in some of the non Tesla fast chargers and this will also hopefully extend my range into the Kootenays. There is a station in Merritt currently which has this interface.

I am off starting next Friday for two weeks so PM me if in the Okanagan and perhaps we can meet at Mission Hill or elsewhere for lunch.

Happy Monday everyone, jotting down a few thoughts from my Model X weekend adventures.

    Supercharger
Went camping this weekend and got to use my first Supercharger station in Squamish. This one was located in a strip mall, and we had dinner while the car got some juice. Wasn't very busy, I was the only one charging. I drove by a few other times as well to get camp supplies and I think I saw at most 2 other Model S' at any given time. Super charging is so fast!

    Camping
Car is pretty roomy, didn't miss not having a cargo box on the roof. We brought with us:
    • 5 people (2 adults, 3 kids)
    • 5 pillows
    • 5 camping chairs (2 adult size, 3 kid size)
    • 4 sleeping bags
    • 3 air mattresses
    • 1 tent
    • 1 duffle bag
    • 1 cooler
    • 1 camp stove
    • 1 BBQ stove
    • 1 lamp
    • 1 pump
    • 15 propane bottles
    • laptop, phones, gadgets
    • bags and bags of food and snacks
Used the frunk, trunk, and also all the extra space under the middle row of seats. Was debating on bringing our bikes, but ended up not. If I need to carry more stuff, I'd probably rent a small U-Haul trailer and use my towing hitch.

There were 240v outlets (labelled as 30A) at each camp site, for RVs - so I could have charged there too but didn't need to. The car proved to be very popular for playing music as well as for charging everyone's phone through the weekend :D

    Driving
A.m.a.z.i.n.g. The Sea to Sky highway is a beautiful drive and very curvy. My Model X handle the roads easily. Power at the tap of the accelerator. Perfectly poised through the curves, barely any body roll. Did not use brakes, the regen braking slow the car down beautifully. And so so quiet. Every morning I snuck out to get coffee in town just to drive :p

    Wishlist
Things move around a lot, and I wish Tesla used more scratch resistant materials. A little less luxury for more durability would be just fine by me. In particular, the inside of the trunk lid would be great if it had that felt/carpet material. Things slam into it all the time when I accelerate :D so something that cushions the impact and doesn't scratch would be great. Also, the leather on the sides of the trunk area got marked up by the cargo.

    Enjoy!

Parallel parking at a supercharger station? Hmm I'll get Internet shamed and keyed for sure :eek:

Will probably just unhitch prior to charging. Also those charge cables don't go very far, so it's necessary to back in. Too bad car won't auto park when there are no other cars around. In fact, I have not found a consistent way to get the autopark button to show up.

Sharing some more of my Model X problems and resolutions.
    • PROBLEM - The infotainment system started misbehaving.
Music was chopping up, the interface started lagging and becoming unresponsive. The car started beeping and dining randomly, and it didn't turn off after I parked and took key away.

FIX: Rebooted the dash and infotainment system. Press and hold the top left+right buttons on the steering wheel for 10-20 seconds. Then Press and hold the middle left+right buttons for another 10-20 seconds. The screens will go black and go through a reboot. This resolved the problems.

    • PROBLEM: cracked sunroof glass
The right passenger sunroof glass has a crack that runs the full length. Not caused by a vandal, it's a very symmetrical line that follows a bit of an arc. Water hasn't leaked through, couldn't really tell how deep it goes.

FIX: TBD - brought it to service centre, they took some pictures. They have a new one on order and will cal me in to replace it.

    • PROBLEM - 2nd row seat not moving forward all the way.
The first time this happened, I had the latch warning message. This time, there is no message but the left outer seat in the 2nd row isn't moving forward all the way.

FIX: TBD - getting this checked out next time I go to the service centre. Last time it was caused by a loose cable.

    • PROBLEM: Car tells me my key-fob is not in the car when it is.
Almost every time, I get the warning that the key-fob is missing and that the car won't start without it. I've tried putting the key-fob everywhere, in the charge dock area, in the cup holders. Never seems to register.

FIX: TBD - will ask service centre next time I'm there.
These are minor inconveniences, I don't mind. I'm happy that the service centre takes a genuine interest in helping me resolve the problems, and I look forward to getting a loaner Model S to drive around in :) This is, to me, part of the ownership experience of being an early adopter and I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Love my Model X!

Re: the original list from yz778
The key FOB batteries can be unreliable. I heard a rumour once that Tesla would start producing their own to improve reliability. Also, if you're like me, the fob may get pressed periodically in your pocket which presumably wears down the battery life. There are other issues that can cause this too but in yz778s case, that seems the most likely.
You can use the app to start the car, I've used this often with my S if I can't find my key. You select 'Start' from the controls screen and it will prompt you for your myTesla password and allow you 2 minutes to start driving. Usually if you're having any unexpected FOB behaviour putting it in the armrest cupholders will help.
I had a latching issue that seemed to be cleared with a restart.

    My issues:
I had an issue where the FWD would not close, I got "obstacle detected". I fixed this by forcing it closed using the touchscreen, similar to forcing it open if it is detecting an option. I think you can also do this from inside the car using the internal switch. Once it had closed completely I did not have the problem anymore. I think elsewhere people have talked about holding the internal switch for a period of time to ensure it is re-calibrated but I did not have to do this.

Auto Closing all the doors accidentally!!!! I've seen other people complaining about this but I think I must have the record for number of times I've closed the doors on myself and my wife, so much so that she won't be under the FWD unless I prove to her I don't have the key in my front pants pocket. I've probably done this at least 5 times, possibly closer to 10. Apparently the position in my pocket (for my height) is perfect if I lean into the back of the car and various other places. I know not everyone has this problem but I think they need to make the auto close all doors feature a bit harder than a single push on the part of the FOB that is easiest to press accidentally. I might have to design a special case for the FOB in the meantime, or maybe wear it around my neck of something.

I almost got my right hand fingers squashed, was lucky to barely get them out before the door closed with a bang, The front door closes fast and hard, it closed on me due to accidental single click., since then we have made some strict rules and we follow it as a family.

These pouches must have saved me multiple times, they have two pockets... i put the fob into the biege pocket and the X cannot detect it. A bit of a hassle but better than going to ER with broken fingers.

How are you guys accidentally auto closing the door? Hasn't happened to me (yet).

I keep the fob in either my breast pocket under my iPhone or in the jeans' site pocket.

I usually have it in my front right jeans (or shorts) pocket. If I lean up against the car while loading the trunk or putting a kid in the side, the FOB will often be pressed. Other things can cause this too.

I meant jeans side pocket. So the same as you, but I'm mindful not to have much in that pocket.

Most often it's in my breast pocket though. - no issues yet!

Will look into an RFID pouch, was meaning to get one for my credit cards anyways. The FOBs are only a month old, so hopefully it's not a problem with draining. I get the message probably 25%-30% of the time when I drive, I always reach down to make sure my key is there but otherwise I just ignore it now.

Sunroof is under warranty, SC is waiting for the parts. I'll ask them to check the FOB too when I'm there.

ps: your link was cut off, but I found this pouch on AliExpress, if you can wait 3 months for shipping:

YES! This happens to me all the time! The keys are usually in my front pocket, and if I'm loading something into the car it accidentally bumps and all the doors start closing. I now know to recognize the distinctive beep when doors close and run for my life when it happens  LOL!

But seriously, it's too easy to depress that top button. And all the doors and trunk close so it's dangerous. Tesla needs to take note and change the design, someone can get hurt. Little fingers and heads could get squished. I'd recommend making it a double press or triple press.

I never thought it would happen to me, but I accidently closed the rear hatch on myself at Canadian Tire yesterday, loading a propane tank. Unfortunately, an employee was collecting my slip and saw the whole thing. My pants were very baggy and it has never happened before, but this time I also had my gargantuan iPhone in the same pocket and the two pressed up against each other. I need to remember to keep the key in it's own pocket.

Luckily, I heard the beep and quickly realized what happened.

Got my first electricity bill from BC Hydro since taking ownership of my Model X. I'm billed every 2 months, and this cycle's total bill came to $282.22. BC Hydro charges a higher rate (Step 2) after 1350kWh and this cycle is the first cycle I've had a significant Step 2 charge, so I attribute that to charging.

    __________2015________ 2016
    May____$138.94______$146.19
    July___$126.05______$282.22
    ($133 / 1071 kWh at Step 2 rates)

I've driven about 4300KM for that billing cycle, and let's call that $130 due to charging. So that's roughly $0.03/KM to drive my 7 passenger 3.3 second 0-60 rocketship .

This is completely unscientific, don't try to pick apart the bad math :p. This also includes all the free EV charging I've used in the city, at the supercharger station. But still, it's fair to say this costs maybe 10x less than when I was fueling up my Honda Pilot. Not too shabby!

Today I accidentally opened a FWD as I was preparing to leave a parking lot. The FOB was in my right jacket pocket and I managed to lean on it somehow. I think I might have to invent something to make this FOB less easy to activate. I never really had problems with the S but then there were less automatic doors to open/close accidentally. I'm assuming a single press on the roof of the FOB would close the trunk hatch but I can't recall if I've ever shut it on myself.

Try this silicon rubber case from Amazon. I takes more effort to double click the door button. Never had a issue..... so far.

That looks pretty cool, and I can color code my key and my wife's so when one is missing we know who to blame :) Do you ever carry your key in a front jeans pocket?
I think the ideal key cover would be one that is relatively rigid but has openings above each button. To press the buttons your finger is actually pressing the FOB surface through the opening.
  • Aug 3, 2016
    Zapped
    Exactly.. works for me.
Yes but my jeans aren't really that tight and I avoid bending over.. too much like work
TESLA has leather key sleeve (made for Model S but MX key fits) but the key has to be taken out to access the buttons.
  • Aug 3, 2016
    gpetti
I have the leather sleeve but it does not stop me from randomly opening/closing doors. My idea for a design is that the cover would be slightly more rigid than this but would have holes cut where the actual buttons are.

For completeness it appears that Abstract Ocean has the same basic silicon protector and they have one specifically for the X. I noticed in one of the threads that a representative from Abstract Ocean was suggesting that "TopFit" had copied their design. Don't know if this is true but they are very similar. I know someone local who has the S version so I'll see if it will work for me before I order any.

Has anyone else noticed how much more you're driving with a Tesla? :D

Maybe it's summer, but I've driven a lot more than I can remember. We take our MX on drives up to Cypress Mountain's High View lookout mid week, going over the Lions Gate Bridge at night and crossing back over the Second Narrows Bridge. We're driving all around town without a worry about gas prices. Such a nice feeling!

I absolutely love hills, there is so much power going up and it's such an awesome experience to not have to touch the brakes when coming down. Went to Buntzen Lake today and there are sections that are very steep. No problem at all for my MX, zipped by every other car on the climb including a lambo. I honestly can't imagine going back to driving an ICE vehicle. I'd be complaining about the noise, or the lack of power, or the need to hit brakes among other things.

Yes, agree completely. I was driving about 1100Km/month in my truck, and I am now almost three times that. Of course, having a car my whole family can fit into allows for day trips we have been looking forward to for some time, and we are making good on that plan now.

    Enjoying this car.

The center console thing in the Model X is super annoying. Important things (wallet, keys) keep getting stuck in between the 2 sections, and it's takes some finger gymnastics to fish anything out.

Has anyone figured out a good solution to keep things from getting stuck in there? Will take a photo next time in case you're wondering what I'm talking about :D
  • Aug 9, 2016
    vandacca
You could always take a thick plastic bag (I would use 2 bags inside each other) and line the console void with it. Then fill the bag with expandable spray foam and then seal the bag once the foam has settled.

So, last night for ****s and giggles I priced out a Model S60D with no options except for autopilot and winter package. Then I did the same for the X60. To my surprise, the X was only $1000 more. I was like "I thought the X was supposed to be $5K US more than the equivalent S." At $1000 more it's really a bargain.

The centre console design is a bit of a fail. Anything you leave in there with the lid closed in the phone compartment slides forward and under. My prescription sunglasses or my keys for example. The first time they disappeared out of there it took me 5 minutes to realize they had fallen out the front crack and were on the dirty rug. Who designed and allowed a storage container where closing the top invisibly opens the front? Some Tesla employee is trolling us here.

How many cans of expandable spray foam do you think I need?

I've been using the medium sized ziploc freezer bags. One for all my keys (I use a ton on a regular basis for work) and a second one for random clutter.

Every so often I get stuff stuck in that infamous no mans land between the sections and an forced to remove sections of the cup holder to fish it out.

If anyone else (neatly) solves it, I'll buy it! :)

The whole design of the console boggles my mind. We are reduced to using foam pipe insulation or putting our keys in plastic baggies? Really?

I had mine for only a week the first time I lost something from the cubby because it slipped out the front. I presume Tesla has prototypes that they drive for a while before finalizing design choices. Someone did a dumb design here, their boss okayed it and the test drivers were so mesmerized by the huge windshield that they did not notice their glasses and keys sliding all over the floor.

The only time the compartment has useful boundaries is if it is open. It is only open if I have my phone slotted in there. If the only purpose for that compartment was to hold the phone on the charging nub then why not make it fit the phone like a sleeve so I don't have to line up the lightning connector 4 times before I can get it to click in. The size of the compartment invites its use for storage and the fact that closing it lets everything slide out the front is such a pathetic fail it is almost funny.

I frankly think Tesla should consider fixing this with a retrofit. And they should send the designer's resume to the competition. Using freezer bags or foam insulation to address this is not the answer.

    S

PS: Still love this car - but this struck a nerve with me :D

LOL, quite the passionate rant. It does seem a bit odd that we are reduced to bags and foam in a 150K car.

I second the suggestion that Tesla does redesign or retrofit. I'd pay for something remotely useful. Keeping an eye out for after market options.

Looks like Tesla provided a fix of sorts for this problem. In 7.1 2.30.61 they have added an option to turn off the door closing with single button press feature. In my case, I best leave it off but I would really like to be able to use the feature if they could provide it in a way that I won't keep "pocket closing" the doors. IMG_2430.JPG

That nub drives me insane. I don't even bother with it anymore. I keep an iPhone lightning cable in the car and just use that with the USB. It's so much more useful. I can actually use the phone and I don't struggle trying to get it onto the nub after being forced to take my phone out of its protective case.

I love my car nonetheless too. Unfortunately today is day 7 without my car. It's still at the service centre. :(

I do however currently have a loaner Model S P90DL. Ludicrous was fun to play with, but I miss my panoramic windshield. The small part of roof actually makes me feel like my vision is obstructed. To top it off, the Model S isn't roomy enough. I want my "SexXxy" back, now. Now!

@yz778 , remember that list i sent you? That....

My list (please excuse the lack of grammar and spelling. This was merely a personal note on my phone) -

    Model X issues :

My hood is too high - there's too much space on the driver side

FWDs - sensing obstacles that aren't there.

Plastic coming off bottom (back passenger side)

    Driver window issues
Window doesn't always go all the way up, or goes too far up passed the door
Window is choppy going up or down

Passenger window too tight? Leaves marks on my window

    Wind noise from both windows
Driver window doesn't fully close - can feel air coming in and Is loud as f*ck! Was able to stick my finger outside!

latch Where trunk closes - getting worn

Driver door doesn't fully present itself / doesn't always open all the way, even if walking from behind the car. (Double tapping top of fob)

    Slacker radio and tunein disappeared
Tune in is back! Slacker captcha error

Occasional rattle loud from between passenger fwd and trunk, sometimes sounds like a rattling can, other times like rattling glass

Can't connect to My car for summon - occasionally. Why?

Paint is coming off the inside of the hood

Passenger side back bumper is coming out

GPS is very laggy. Will tell me turn long after I've turned.

LTE singnal at max bars, still doesn't load my map

Ghosting windshield issue - can deal with it for now, but it's definitely an issue

    Air conditioning sounds awfully loud.

    Windshield wipers aren't fast enough!
