And I have a VIN :) it's 128XX and the two week period finalized on 5th of April. It's a 6 seat 90D with 20", premium package, MC white, ultra white seats, dark ash wood. Ahh, now I can start pestering by DS :)

    CitizenKane
Me too, mine is 127XX and confirmed April 4 so very similar to you. Next time in Tallinn I will surely consider getting picked up in one of your Teslas :)

    Mario Kadastik
Sure, if you want a transfer just call +3726346214 and let a driver know when and where :)

Also, got an estimate from DS: The build of your Model X will start middle of July and we expect the delivery to be in the middle of September.

So should get it latest end of sept for sure as Tesla will want it to count in Q3 guess same timeframe for you :)

    Got a VIN also today...
    125XX - Netherlands / confirmed march 2016
No more info yet on when and what ;)

@Frank. Don't expect anymore updates on MyTesla. Got our X Friday and one hour after that status changed from Production queue to delivered. My VIN is 74xx and car was sent by aircraft to Europe as exemption. I believe when you got VIN it will be at the batch to be delivered end q3

Wow...that is a quick delivery ;) Nice that you already have it! I am roughly 5.000 cars later then you in the que...and we have no legislation now that would require a quick delivery or something like that...we had that in dec 2013 when you got get an electric car and didnt have to pay any taxes at all for 5 years...we had a boat with 2.000 Mitsibushi outlanders from Asia that were registered on board to apply for the 0% tax program on 31-12-2013....

    FrankNL
Nice shot!! And congratulations on your X!

But why a roof box?! And can you open your falcon wings? And how did you attach?? ;)
  • Jun 30, 2016
    mrdoubleb
Wow. How does that work? You disable the rear doors?
  • Jun 30, 2016
    felixtb
Just me and our dogs on this trip so won't use the FWD so no problems.

For the next leg I will have a smaller roof box that sits on one side. So that way only one FWD is disabled.

The rack is called sea-sucker and works great.

In EU it can be difficult to find boxes for the trailer hitch........

I like that rooftop box solution. The idea to open the Falcon door on 1 side only is really not bad at all. Wonder what the max width of the cargo box can be then?

Hi All, my Model S 90D got confirmed on 25/6. Based on your experience, when can I expect it to come to Switzerland? I'm in Zrich area.
  • Jul 3, 2016
    felixtb
At least on the Model X we now have an electronic charge port. I do not know if it works the same way as in the US but you can open it by pressing on the cover itself and close it either by button on the dash or by lightly swiping it closed kind of like the front doors on the X.

    Works very well and smoothly.
  • Jul 3, 2016
    kiefer
Yup, the charge port can now open and close automatically. But I do have problems when using a supercharger that the handle cannot open the port. Others that have had this issue?

We have experienced this on every supercharger testet through Germany and Switzerland.

Chargeport will not open via button on SC cable. I use long press on trunck on key fob. Think it's one update away. Didn't know you could press the flap itself. To close go to car and drive away and it will close by itself;-)

    FrankNL
:) I thought VIN numbers were assigned when you're car was assigned to production, and because you "only" confirmed on 28-06 I was guessing that your VIN number was supposed to be much higher. 116 is one of the first X's... Or is it 116XX ?
  • Jul 9, 2016
    Zero Emissions

No Frank, the Founder's Edition have their own sequential number range, ending with F (Fremont) F (Founder) and XXXXX (5 digit sequential number, nothing to do with the general production number range):

    FF00001 Elon Musk's Model X
FF00003 Steve Juvetson (Venture Capitalist and Board Member of Tesla)
FF00004 Sergey Brin (Co-Founder Google, President ALPHABET)
    FF00006 Mark Templeton (CEO Citrix)
    FF00010 Jen-Hsun (CEO Nvidia)
FF00013 Chamath Palihapitiya (Early Face book employee)
    FF00016 Tony Hsieh (CEO Zappos)

And Founder's Editions get a special production slot (jumping the queue), that's why there is just a very short period between order and production.
I expect production start of my Founder's Edition within the next two weeks and delivery by end of August the latest (max. 2 months between order and delivery).
  • Jul 9, 2016
    Mario Kadastik
If the production starts middle of July, then I think it's unlikely you get it in August unless they airlift it in. The production itself with testing takes ~1 week and the shipping takes ~6 weeks. I got my car confirmed in April, got the VIN a few weeks ago and was told by DS that the production will start ~middle of July (i.e. around next week or so) and delivery can be expected middle of September. I have Tilburg pickup so there is no delay in intra-EU transfers. I doubt a founders car gets transported faster, most likely our cars will share the boat if indeed they get produced within a week of each other :)

But this does not apply to cars going to either Norway or Switzerland since they are not part of the EU. Cars to Norway goes as far as I remember directly to Norway. If they were to enter EU first they would be added with EU customs tax for exporting to Norway...

Regarding the chargeport opener. I found it more or less random if it would open on a SuC in Europe. Just like on our Model S. Sometimes the button works, sometimes not. Depends more on the health of the handle on the SuC...

BTW: There are 6 founders delivered to Denmark.
  • Jul 11, 2016
    MicTheCat
@kiefer. Correct only EU is affected on the EU tax. Norway have their own boats and tax scheme. Don't know about Switzerland.

I have not been able to open my charge port via cable on SC or home charger as we do with our S. But I just use key FOB and got used to it

Martin I hope your car is ok and in good shape despite the initial problems?

Sorry if I'm disturbing you in your deserved honeymoon (so envious!) but I would like to clarify some things about the number of Tesla X registered in Switzerland in June.
The Auto Suisse Data site doesn't show Tesla X in its chart, only Tesla S. Maybe, they are hide in the "other models" line.
As you took delivery of your car in June, I suppose it was registered in this month. Do you have any idea of how many have been delivered in June? I suppose not more than an hand full of them, but have you any other clue or data? Thanks.
  • Jul 17, 2016
    felixtb
Yes mine was the first in Switzerland and it was registered on the 30th of June in the canton of Geneva. I live in Vaud but they were not able to register there since the homologation papers had not come through yet. So tesla registered it in geneva under there name since I was driving to Northern Europe the smart evening. I will re do the registration in Vaud in August.

It was a very nice handoff and the new country manager of Switzerland was there and we took some pictures. I think they put them on their site..... I'm not sure though, haven't had time to look. :-(

Vaudois? Merci beaucoup pour cette rponse.
In fact, I twitted to Auto-Schweiz and they answered me that there were 3 Tesla X registered in Switzerland and that they will add it in their statistics.
I hope your trip to North goes well with no issues. Enjoy.

Interesting, according to my DS mine's supposed to be produced now and expect delivery around Sept 20th. What's your config? A friend of mine took a mostly fully loaded X and was relatively early reservation holder so he got a VIN in the same ballpark 98XX, but found out he has 5 seater and his DS told him this week that the 5 seaters are all delayed and further info will be provided once it's available, but with no estimate. Originally he was gearing for end of August delivery...

I saw your post regarding your brand new X with the roof box.

I should get mine in a couple of weeks (also in the Lausanne area), and I'm also very much interested in your roof box. Very cool solution.

Can you tell me a little bit more about the seasucker rack reference.

Did you get the surfboard rack (two 31" bars with each two 6" seasucker) or
the paddle board rack (two extendable bars 24? to 44? range, with front bar having four 6" seasucker and the rear bar two 6" seasucker). Or did order only the sucker and built a custom rack with extra bars?

And additional question : what is the best way to order Seasucker product from Switzerland ?

As narrow box, I'm planning to get one of those, which are narrow but long enough for skis
    Yakima Skybox Pro 12 (233 x 61 x 41cm)
    Kamei Husky M (220 x 60 x 36cm)
    Calix 370 (225 x 60 x 34cm)

If your Model X would be a book bought at Amazon, you might even know the name of the vessels' captain.

I thought, cutting out the middle man and having a direct relationship between manufacturer and client would enable Tesla to set up a communication scheme like Amazon. Well, it's not. They have one single manufacturing site for all global markets. But that does not speak to clients. Nor does the shipping. It's the poor DES, that needs to retrieve and distribute information. I hope, they get extra time, if sales figures expand rapidly.

Just some simple steps could improve the client experience. Why not update the MyTesla webpage during major production stages? Shoot a simple colour picture of the car at the end of production line and generate an eMail? Why not distribute tracking IDs, if a car is shipped for another six to eight weeks?

Heard back from my DS. The car is produced and on its way. It should be loaded on Maersk Montana in a couple of days and leave towards EU. So I'm guessing any mid-September deliveries will be on the same ship so thought others might want to track their cars too :)

So all cars go via Tilburg or just EU? Whats the lead time for delivery the moment the car is in Tilburg? Few days? Couple of weeks?
  • Aug 13, 2016
    Mario Kadastik
I guess it depends on how much of a queue they have and how much work is needed still on the car. I don't know if Tilburg-2 is operational, but from what I understood in Tilburg-2 factory a bigger portion of final assembly takes places. Otherwise I think it's just pack+drivetrain install + final testing and detailing. Should not take more than a day or so. But usually I guess they allocate 2-3 days for it in case something unexpected pops up.

    Hi Dries,

Don't count on myTesla to show any other information than "in Production". If you want relevant information you should call your Delivery Specialist.

I've read report that my tesla is just updated one hour before you take reception of the car...

I know there's a boat with Tesla on board right now: Vessel details for: MAERSK MONTANA (Container Ship) - IMO 9305312, MMSI 367759000, Call Sign WCDP Registered in USA | AIS Marine Traffic
you should ask your DS if yours is aboard.

The status on "My Tesla" doesn't get updated until delivery. Your DS can inform you on the status of your order.

And your VIN only gives you a rough indication of where you are in the queue. TM batches similarly configured vehicles so it's perfectly possible that your car in either one of the many states between ordering and delivery, together with earlier VIN's and later VIN's as well.

Cost for the upgrade will be 10.900 (paid at time of upgrade), because the X hasn't been delivered yet.
Battery swap will be done in the local SeC and takes 1-2 days.
    I'm a happy camper !

What did you hear in Sweden about the upgrade procedure and the prices ?
There seems to be a lot of uncertainty still in the different countries.

The procedure is that they exchange the battery early in 2017 in a service center in Sweden and the cost, although not finally confirmed, will be in the region of 11,000 EUR.

That's odd, what's your config? My 128XX has just arrived in Tilburg by the info when and with what it was shipped and said ship arriving in Rotterdam during the weekend...

I have all possible upgrades but the cars don't get delivered in strict VIN order, it seems.

yipeeee....my car arrived today in Belgium (?) and I can pick it up starting on 20.9!. Of course, as it always happens, I will be in US from 17-24th so hoping I can get the car right when I land on saturday the 24th.

Belgium ? What is your car doing there ?
I thought they get assembled in Tilburg/Netherlands and from there straight to your SeC.
And it takes nearly three weeks to get a finished car from Belgium/Netherlands to Switzerland ? What are they doing ? Rolling it by hand ?

Antwerp is a major port in Europe. It is located in Belgium. From there it will to to Tilburg. Makes sense?

    Yes, of course.
But I thought that all ships with Teslas go to Rotterdam.

Not really. They are close and its all EU so if ship happened to be heading this way at the right time why not.

The odd part is that Maersk Montana made it to Antwerp and then Rotterdam during the weekend and yesterday when I talked to my DS he mentioned the car hasn't arrived yet to Netherlands, which is odd... Sure hope they can still make 14th as I will anyway be in Amsterdam on 13th, took a hotel just across the street from Tilburg factory for the night and will be camping on Tilburg grounds starting from 14th.

There is no service center in your country. You have to ask your DS to change if you want.
