Any Model X's delivered in Eastern Canada Yet? part 2

Picked up our SigX yesterday. Drove it for 20 minutes to a 5 day stay at the wrap shop. What do I think about the vehicle so far? OMG!

Our "multi-coat signature red" is turned out to be "multi-coat signature red with gold metallic flecks."! What do I think? OMG! again.:)

This vehicle is the way of the future. The acceleration is astonishing. One has to experience it to appreciate the difference between an ICE vehicle. If anyone reading this thread, presently does not have the financial resources to purchase a Tesla, all is not lost. The Model 3 is coming soon. An educated guess as to Toronto delivery of the Model 3 is the fall of 2018. Stand in line, you will not be disappointed.

@vandacca. I've never posted a picture. I have taken 3 photo of my vehicle & emailed to friends but I am unsure how to place them here.

@brianvicars, I usually upload the photos to imgur (free account) and then grab the URL to the photo and paste it into the photo link (it's the icon between the happy face and movie film). 15th icon from the left or 7th icon from the right.

Look at the bottom right of your post after you click reply. it says upload a file.
Then you can choose the location where the pic is. It takes a little while for it to show. Then you can pick thumbnail or full size.

OMG!!! I am at Tesla at Lawrence E to pickup a Tesla Wall Charger to be installed tomorrow morning, so I went to ask my DS in person when he thinks my MX would be put on a truck for delivery. After several minutes searching and then checking google earth, JM says "come with me.."

My MX 90D is here in Toronto!!! There's actually a ton of MX and MS here. He says he will probably call me in about a week once they get to my car..

Congrats! That's a very pleasant surprise!

My surprise today was not so happy. I got an update on mine which was supposed to be in before end of Q2. Sadly, it went back into production after failing QC and had sat there for the past week without any progress. My DS thinks that maybe they haven't worked on any flawed Xs given the rush to get out more cars. It is probably easier to focus on the ones they CAN get delivered rather than troubleshoot the ones that need more attention. I'm hoping that next week they'll have my issue sorted out. Until then, I'll have to get a rental since I had timed the selling of my Porsche to the end of Q2. I'm hoping this won't go in for months like the poor soul who has been waiting on his P90D since March!

Sad and carless in Ottawa :(

I haven't been checking in with our Toronto DS, but I recall him mentioning that our 90d was in production batch June 6. Looking at the mytesla page though, it doesn't seem to show anything (not even the DS appears assigned). Has anybody's mytesla page ever change to reflect what is actually going on? Or do I really need to bother the DS to find out status?

My vehicle has been ready to pick up since last Monday, and My Tesla page still says, "Your order is now confirmed and in the factory production queue." It may depend on the DS to have it updated, but since I have the same DS as you, I would depend on him to provide you info rather than the website.

It never does. I was at Lawrence E on Monday and my 90D went into production at the same time of yours... Mine was there! I touched it! There are lots of MX and MS there. Maybe yours is too?

Do we all share JM as our our DS? He's pretty awesome at returning my calls/emails but not so much at updating mytesla! Go visit him in person. He's great! Calling or emailing normally takes a day or two. He's really busy with all the end of quarter deliveries. There were more than 40-50 new cars there on Monday that came over the weekend. Yours may be there too!!

Just checked in with my DS, after seeing that MyTesla page is not reliable for following production.
Production just finished and the car is now in transit towards the Service Center in Montreal!

I'm actually more stressed out then excited about my MX delivery tomorrow. I'm quite frustrated with Tesla, and for the first time ever, my DS.

I pickup the car in less than 16 hours from now. I have still yet to receive the MVP. I was clear to my DS that I required it no later than yesterday's business banking hours in order to have everything set up properly on my end. I have spoken to him every day since he called me to book the appointment; some days even 2-3 times. I appreciate that he actually does call me back.

He gave me an approximate total but unfortunately I need to know down to the penny for accurate business purposes. He keeps assuring me not to worry and they will accept an uncertified business cheque, and is like "oh yeah, I recall you telling me that you needed it. Oops." Or offering other excuses. I'm just frustrated. (I'm sure tomorrow evening this will all work itself out, but I'm just aggravated :(

Anyone else have this issue? Or anything similar?

We too have four and are anxiously waiting for our Sig X to be shipped to NL. Our kids are a bit younger and all are in car seats of some sort. Enjoying being a parent, but looking forward to when they can get into and out of the car unassisted!

I received my Sig X here in St. John's on Monday. No issues, but have suddenly become busy with work, and thus have not had a chance to take half of my family (including my wife) a ride yet.

I don't expect to see any other Model X until TeslaXCanada gets here later this summer, as mine is apparently the only one in Atlantic Canada. I do stand to be corrected on that, though.

My 75D is now held up in Chicago. They won't take any more deliveries to Toronto because lot is completely maxed out of new vehicles....likely about 75-100 there now. Employees can't even park there. Not enough employees there to process the 2 hours or so it takes to complete a proper delivery to the customers. Obvious cause was the Q2 end rush to get cars out of the door at Tesla. I'm guessing it will take 7-10 days at least to just clear out what they have there. Nonetheless the estimate on my car being delivered remains on schedule as they factored in these variables when the gave me the estimate.

I suspect you will start to see many Model X's on the road in the near future. For those who have got deliveries .....enjoy your rock star exclusivity while you can !

I think Model-X owners have more patience than a doctor at a hypochondriac convention. Hang in there.

I am getting it Opti-coated pro plus as well. Will go direct from picking up at Tesla to my Opti-coat guy. Well worth the $1300-$1500 for 7-10 years of protection. Should take 2 days max. Mine is a white 75D with white seats. I have already given it the most perfect name ......"Pegasus" , for the mythical white horse with wings. I even plan on getting some chrome lettering for the back which spells out "Pegasus".

Thanks guys. I think I will go with the Lloyd's mats set which I can get for approx $255 U.S . They look to be the better quality as well as thicker. I don't need the bigger rear cargo mat because if I need to transport an item with the 3rd row seat down then I can just grab the mat out of the Frunk and combine it with the smaller rear cargo mat and get 95% coverage.

Two trucks left Chicago yesterday. I know my X75D is on one of them. Expect it to arrive in T.O. between Sunday and Tuesday depending on how long it gets held up at border and its now the weekend. The lot is still quite jammed but I guess they have cleared enough room for about the 20 or so cars that would be on those trucks. What was your original reservation number in Canada when you first ordered the car? ......it still retained bearing after all that SAS shuffle.

I kept myself busy the last two weeks . While waiting I have now ordered my Llyod's rubber mats, my chrome vinyl blackout decals, my lettering for my name for the car, and found Replika 187 wheels to go with Nokian Hakka R2 winter tires and 4 OEM TPMS (tire sensors) . Opti-coat pro guy booked for immediately after delivery. All set. I will be be finally in my garage next Saturday for good. End of a long wait.

BTW....I am happy to offer advice and sources to new X buyers (especially Canadians) who use my referral code. As opposed to many others I am happy to return the favor for using my code. Your saving is $1200 CDN.

Bought my rims at tsportline.com. I wanted dark turbine rims but in 20" format since I'll be towing.

Bought my tires at pmctire.com. They have consistently been the cheapest including taxes and shipping within Canada for me when i was driving Porsche and now tesla. They also have a tesla Canada discount code "tesla5" for a 5% discount to tesla owners.

I agree with Gymee. PMCtire.com is the best place to go. I have also explored Kal Tire and 1010tire in Missisagua but they just can't match the prices and service or PMC. You are best to call Dominic there and speak directly to him as he know the drill and will also set you up with the Tesla TPMS sensors. 1-888-640-7638
I got Bridgestone Blizzaks DV-M2 with Replika R187 ( Tesla copy) Wheels . They are a prefect match for the X. I don't need the Nokians in Ontario with the mild winters as its just overkill. My all in for tires, wheels, Tesla TPMS sensors , rotated and balanced and shipped to my door was $2194.00 after tax. Tell Dominic to order the same order as Robert from Ancaster if you want to save time.

    Hope that helps.
