Tesla order page change res # to Model X 00XXXX part 2

That's great news! Just curious did they have you do your financial piece yet?

Looking at your VIN and delivery and dutchinchicago with 49xx in late May\early June, you could have a very rough estimate of 3700 X's in 75 days, or about 1500 a month.

    RAMPING speed?

Today mine changed to "Your estimated delivery date is March 7, 2016 - March 14, 2016." My best guess is that delivery did not happen on the 7th, 8th, 9th nor will it be till next week. Unless I am in some kind of time warp.

    Just changed to:

    Your estimated delivery date is March 17, 2016 - March 31, 2016.?

I'm super excited for my friends south of the border!

No. I currently put in no financing and no lease, and I haven't been contacted. I sent an email to the DS to ask her if this date is for real, since it's now showing on the page.

vandacca...love your province having spent a few weeks on Otter Lake near Parry Sound! Had a delightful conversation today with a B.C. software expert who ended up telling me his product was overkill for what we wanted. He is coming down to see my X...seemed to be more important than getting me to part with $70,000 on software.

Today the page is showing delivery date estimate:
Your estimated delivery date is March 24, 2016 - March 31, 2016. And I had a question to my DS about 6seat vs 7seat and he said nothing can be changed now as they have begun sourcing parts. So, I guess, it's somewhere on the assembly line.?
  • Mar 9, 2016

I wonder if getting specific dates of estimated delivery getting changed from some phrase "Late March - April" may mean that our cars entered production line or maybe that it is leaving it and going to QC?
  • Mar 9, 2016
    CaliX
I just emailed my DS too to see if it can be trusted. I am now as I type moving funds in place just in case.

    - - - Updated - - -

So funny when I called the 800 tesla sales last Friday he said after he spoke with his supervisors it was on the production line. When I talked to my DS on Monday they said no it will be June before I get it. My VIN is 16xx so I am really confused. My delivery now says right on my page not in the code March 24- March 31.
  • Mar 9, 2016
    ohmman
I posted this in the other thread, but I already talked to my DS earlier today and he said 1-3 months before mine enters production. My page says delivery March 24-31st. It's got to be a bug, and people should adjust their expectations accordingly.
  • Mar 9, 2016
    CaliX
My only thing is the supervisor at the 800 tesla said my X was already on the production line last Friday and my DS said the same thing 1-3 months on Monday. But my DS did one thing that was odd at the end of the call she asked me to confirm my registration info for finance which leads me to believe she knows something she wasn't telling me.
  • Mar 9, 2016
    ohmman
Mine told me I could delay my vehicle production a few months if I wanted to wait. So that seemed to imply he wasn't privy to some kind of accelerated production schedule.
  • Mar 9, 2016
    Waldek
I can't find it now, but I read somewhere that someone who called DS and was told the same this week to just find out in a few days from the same DS that the previous was not true and delivery is actually going to happen.... I don't mean to get our hopes higher. I guess the only way to find out is to just wait couple more days to see what is going to happen... people report changes in those estimated dates some to the earlier and some to the later... so it is for certain fluid and maybe for certain configurations it may be more fluid. Anyway it seems like a good sign that something is going on and even people are getting calls for deliveries for cars that were in a deep black hole for last 2 months. So something is happening :) We can't be sure anything... website changes is possible that they are working on website too :) lol so we don't look through code for not fully removed info

Who would do such a despicable thing (delay their X)??

I think we will see 100D next year to buy them time before they start switching to new giga factory batteries.

Now my page shows nothing under "Estimated Delivery". The source code shows no dates after "Estimated Delivery".
About an hour ago the Estimated Delivery dates weren't even hidden, they were clearly displayed on the My Tesla page.

Perhaps the discovery of hidden "Estimated Delivery" dates caused a flood of calls/emails to Tesla and they are hiding the "Estimated Delivery" dates from the "My Tesla" page.
I hope the original dates I saw are still accurate!

    Phil Seastrand
    Me too:
    Your estimated delivery date is March 24, 2016 - March 31, 2016!?
  • Mar 9, 2016

My page still shows the delivery date "March 24 to March 31" as of 10 PM pacific time.
  • Mar 9, 2016
    Monkey
When I was assigned my VIN, the hidden dates showed "Late February - March" Then it changed to "March - Early April" then it disappeared. Yesterday it said "Late April - May" now it has disappeared again.... Humph... I think I'll just go find something else to do until the day my DS calls me. Trying to analyze this and guesstimate when the car will be delivered is futile.
  • Mar 9, 2016
    BJJ Brown Belt
    My Tesla page still reads:

    Your estimated delivery date is March 17, 2016 - March 31, 2016.?

as of 11 PM pacific time.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    dutchinchicago
Mine was removed as well since yesterday. It said May - early June for a 90D 49xx vin. Now it is blank.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    Robbo
Well no VIN here :frown:. 90D. Res #4947 (Aug 2013); confirmed 12/15/15. White, 6 seat, No premium.

Ohmman - Even though your DS comments are somewhat contradictory to the recent posts regarding deliver date windows for some 90D units, I still feel the posts over the last few days on this thread are a cause for some optimism and even excitement. First, if you believe Elon from the Q4 call that they expect by week one Q2 they will be producing at least 800 Xs/week, and taking into account it appears VINs have been issued up to around 5,000, it make sense that we should see some 90Ds delivered late this month but more likely next. Another data point that is good for us non performance reservation holders is that it looks like performance orders are less than 3,000. Admittedly, this is a wild guess based on vin assignment for 90Ds. Anyway, I look forward to others letting me know why my optimism/excitement is unfounded.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    ohmman
Fair enough. Everyone else is welcome to their own interpretation. It wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. I've been riding the Tesla/Model X train for a while and every time we stop, the conductor tells me my stop is next. I haven't seen the landscape change enough yet to think it might be true this time.

I'm also a 49xx vin with a delivery date that was listed late April-May yesterday and is now blank.
Perhaps TM was overwhelmed with the response from res holders and opted to blank it out to reduce false hope. Let's hope they do 1000 in March and another 2000 by April and can get to all configured 90D's with vins by June.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    ohmman
Maybe so. I just have been paying attention to the response to wk057's discovery, and it seems like it might be much sooner than that. I did some napkin math to see how much it would matter in this thread:

Yesterday my source code showed "March - Early April", today it shows "March 11 - March 18"
    VIN # 12xx, Confirmed 12/28/15
P90DL, 22" Onyx Wheels, 6-Seat White Interior, Premium & every other option, factory pickup in CA.

I called Tesla this morning and they told me my X was in the "final stages of production".
My DS replied also replied to my email this morning and wrote "Your Model X has moved into production and we expect it to be ready in the next few weeks. Do you have have any travel plans the rest of the month that we would need to work around? Also, do you plan on financing leasing, or paying in cash? And finally, do you have a car that you would like to trade in?"

My "Estimated Delivery" dates are still missing from "My Tesla" page.

    Aljohn
PVogel and Ohmman.... check your Tesla page again. Mine is back and no longer hidden. I think we are beginning to over think everything on the page. I didn't look at the source, it was right on the page.... seems like an effort for Tesla to be more informative. ALL IS GOOD

For those who like playing in the source.... the date has moved to Section description. Nothing is listed any longer in "hidden" estimated delivery.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    K-MTG
If 70-85% of P90D/90D orders are expected to be delivered in March/April. Won't 70D orders start shortly after?
It is estimated that only 5k of the 21k+ reservation holders ordered and I don't expect a massive increase of orders of 90D/P90D's in the next two months so Tesla's only option would be to build 70D's.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    Aljohn
Appreciate the optimism KMTG.... at this stage, I am hoping the March-April-Early May dates hold true to delivery. For me if the production/inspection and shipping takes 6 weeks, my P90D would have to go into Production soon. At any rate, the current "ramp" should be encouraging to all. Best Wishes.

Spoke to my DS today. Said car has not started production but their goal is to get it done by late March. (My page says March 24 - 31).

He said he will tell me when car is in active production
  • Mar 10, 2016
    ohmman
I'm going to continue to be skeptical of these dates (or bull-headed, or whatever you might want to term it). If, for some reason, they really are trying to blow them out by quarter end, I'm going to be clear that I don't want mine until mid-April. Anecdotes being what they are, I've heard quite enough about quarter-end vehicles to know I don't want one.
  • Mar 10, 2016
    K-MTG
If you want to delay your order, I'd suggest running your script that detects changes on MyTesla :) . It will make web developers at Tesla "happy", refreshing the page every second would be recommended.

    - - - Updated - - -

I haven't seen any posts from recent production deliveries complaining about quality issues. However if they do exist, I would assume that I found the only pros for ordering the 70D.

My estimated delivery went from Late February - March, to March - Early April, then disappeared, then back as April - Early May. All while hidden in the source. Then disappeared again. Today I have April - Early May back again, but now visible below my VIN on my Tesla page. I believe my car would be in production and shipping to me by the end of the month... If not for all you fine people in California who seem to be benefitting at the moment. :p I have to look on the bright side of things, this gives me time to clean the garage to make room for the X and make sure my electrician can find time in his schedule to install my wall charger.

Oh man! (not ohmman:smile:) that reminds me ... Call the electrician! My Tesla page, visible, now shows "April- early May". Planning on upping old house service from 100 to 200 amps + HPWC install.

Yeah and there's a lot of people that should have theirs before I get mine... I know Tesla will get this all worked out and the production line will run smoothly as it does for the Model S at some point soon. I'm happy to wait for it to be perfect too.

The delivery location (usually a service center you specified) will have a phone number. Call it and select option 4 (usually) to access the "delivery team".

Then ask for your delivery specialist by name.

I sent an email to my DS yesterday (Fremont delivery) because I wanted to make sure she knew the reason that we selected the factory delivery was to get the total immersion experience with the factory tour. And if the tour was going to be a problem, we would just pick it up at our local SC (Rocklin). Within a few hours she stated that the tour would not be an issue.

    She also responded:
The website currently has us as March 24th - 31st.

I would also suggest being skeptical of the dates. Our page still says we're in the production queue but I know for a fact that it's finished as I just got a sneak peak of it at our local service center where it's being prepped for delivery.

We have good news for you. Your Model X is built and will be delivered to you this month.

Thank you for your patience as we've taken a little extra time to ensure your Model X meets the highest standards of quality. For the last couple of months, we held back our production rate to check and recheck every part of Model X from each of the ground-breaking features to road performance. We've had members of our management team, including Elon, test drive Model X as it came off the line so that we can confidently say that you're going to love your Model X.

As you've read in recent reviews, it's paid off. We can't wait for you to get behind the wheel of your Model X to experience the beauty, comfort, performance and truly one-of-a-kind drive experience.

Your MyTesla account is now updated with a delivery window. Youll soon be receiving communication from our team to prepare you for delivery, but to accelerate the process, please log into your account to finalize your delivery details.

    All my best,

    Jon McNeill
