    2.7.77 here as well.
    Just went out to try it for a short drive on the highway ... this is absolutely insane!! Just incredible! :biggrin:

    My car automatically tethers to my phone when I hop in, and I just saw that it downloaded about 230 megabytes of data in the last fifteen minutes. That should be it! Now just to wait for the notification. Will they update while at a Supercharger? Probably not...

    @gshin8359
    The autopilot worked like a charm! It even followed a part of the highway that was turning left and going downhill very smoothly! If the autopilot sees the lines on the road and they turn blue, then you can really let it do its magic and just enjoy the ride :cool:

    That's owesome, did you get a notification on your phone about the update, or did you have to physically check the car to see if there was an update pending?

    Most of the UK Facebook group seem to have it. I have had the car drive me around the Motorways in the dark. Really good. We have to touch the wheel before each lane change though. Regulatory tweak? Same tweak in rest of Europe?

    Lycanthrope
    Yes, just as we left the supermarket. Have been driving all day with variable 3G, then tethered to the wifi in the summer house for 30 minutes before heading out for sole groceries.

    Guys question, do you get notificvation on your phones, as my car sitting outside and I'm only checking mu phone for update notification?
  • Oct 24, 2015
    Lycanthrope
    Yes I got phone notification - check it's set in the app...

    @gshin8359
    My phone is Android, and unfortunately, the Android Tesla app cannot push notifications, but I have an iPad, and I received the notification there. When I saw it, I immidiately ran down to the garage and started the update. When the update was ready (after 1hr and 20mins), I received a notification that the update is complete.
    By the way, it seems that it doesn't matter where you are in Europe, if Tesla pushes the update, then you will get it. My neighbour who has a Swiss registered S70D is in France right now, and he received V7 today as well. I am looking forward for his report about autopilot use on highways in France and Switzerland.

    Just got back from testing it out. It's awesome, and it's even smoother than I anticipated given some of the reports. I mainly tried it on the Autobahn, and there it was flawless. It even handled a construction zone without blinking, following the printed yellow lines instead of the white lines in the zone.

    This is just awesome.

    Nice, very cool. Western EU roads are in general better marked than US roads. Perhaps AP works even better in the EU???

    7.0 installed in Estonia, seems to have hit both AP and non-AP cars last night (I have four, two of each).
  • Oct 25, 2015
    gshin8359
    Just tried out AP it's perfect and easy to take over anytime you want.
    I left hands lightly on steering throughout test like recommended by Tesla, which I think all those people in the US making negative complainst and sending bad review video on youtube should be doing, this is what tesla has recommended for now to everyone.
    It does try to take an exit when driving past one, but then you just correct slightly and you are ok

    Cool. BTW, what do you do with 4 Teslas?! Rent them? A while ago you only had one, right?

    Mario: 4 Model S? When did that happen?
  • Oct 25, 2015

    Installed it this morning over 3g. Did test it a bit today as well, although in difficult conditions : 3-4 lane highway, narrow lanes, lots of turns and traffic. Works terrifically well! The only thing I could not get to work is auto lane changes: although lanes were displayed to the left and right, the car would not move when I engaged the turn signal.

    Parallel parking worked on first attempt though in heavy city traffic :)

    Not sure if it was already mentioned somewhere, but the 7.0 we got in Europe (2.7.77) is slightly newer than the one in the US (2.7.56).

    One difference is the temperature and time on the dash are back! You can see what it looks like here: Model S | Tesla Motors Schweiz

    Another difference seems to be, that it won't change lanes if you don't have your hands on the steering wheel. I don't know if they had to do this because of some law, or if it will be like that in future U.S. versions too.
  • Oct 25, 2015
    orlenok
    That's probably it. I didn't read the release notes before trying this out to be honest as I read the US version already a week ago using this forum and comments specifically mentioned you do not need to hold the wheel to initiate a lane change. I was holding a finger on the wheel but this probably wasn't enough. Will try again tomorrow.

    Yeah, we rent out them :) Tesla Rent | so if you have friends visiting Estonia and want to drive in style, then rent a Tesla :) how many does Jens have as we are contemplating buying a few more :) and the 7.0 in non-autopilot looks a bit odd with the old style mixed with new style dash :)
  • Oct 26, 2015
    Matias
    I guess Jens has seven Teslas.
