SSD420 Just wondering if any Model X's have been delivered in Eastern Canada. I noticed through the most recently posts that some sigs and non sigs have begun popping up in Vancouver.
Anything in Toronto? Montreal? How about the prairies?
I'm waiting for my 90D in Toronto. Anyone else?�

Jon The last update I heard abut a week ago is mine is completed production and queued for transport to the Montreal SC.
I believe this is the stage called Shipping Purgatory.

Macgaver Interesting ! Mine started been build last week (monday). No news since, but delivery date in my document say June 30th.

Local host I reserved October 2012. It has been a long 3.5 years. If I had any foresight regarding pricing, I may have gone with a sig, although I probably would have never order if I have known what it would actually end up costing!
I have a bad feeling that I won't see mine the end of June, but am hopeful. The delivery date corresponds to what other are being told.�

I mean how many of us reserved it before it was available anywhere.
Something tells me that there aren't a lot of us. We all seem to be getting told similar end of June deliveries no matter our configuration or battery size.
Maybe we will all get them the same week??�

Macgaver ModelXTracker say we have ~1378 reservations in Canada. Yes many cancelled. In my friends, only me decided to not cancel because of the crazy price on the production model we have seen day-1.�

Macgaver You can login to ModelXTracker and export the data. The highest reservation number which registered was that number. We can see some cancellation, but it's a subset of the reality for sure.
All we have other than this tracker site is guess. Nothing have been made public about this for Canada, or other countries.�

Gymee Based on my rudimentary guesstimate of about 30000 reservations at the peak before production, and less than 10000 VINs assigned by the time they opened the design studio to the general public, I would guess that less than a third of reservation holders went through to order.
In Ottawa, a sizable city, there seems to only be a few Model Xs although I'm sure many were initially intending on ordering before Sept 2015�

SSD420 I agree with you there. Was a big decision factor for me between 90D and P90D. I'm glad they lowered the pricing after the fact, but I'm sure the damage was already done..�

brianvicars My SigX is expected to arrive @ the Toronto SC on June 25th. I was reservation 71st of 72. I estimate that of the original 50 Sigs allocated to Canada, only 25 to 30 were produced.�

brianvicars I also expect that all SigX Canadian vehicles are completed & are in transit to all Canadian SC location. Mine is probably on a train to Chicago & then will be enclosed trucked to Toronto. I have a feeling that some production modes are also on the shipment as well as a possible SC demo.�

Gymee Brian, are you doing a full wrap? I have the front being wrapped, seat backs, and then C Quartz (one coat). Thought this was a reasonable and cheaper option than a full wrap.
Also have a Blackburn 2 Ch dashcam to install. Can't wait to get all this done and out of the way�

Gymee I've got an Xpel front wrap scheduled along with CQuartz. I have been debating just doing the whole thing and not the CQuartz but I hate to admit it, but I'm prone to tiny dings here and there (often at the cottage) and if it was wrapped, I wouldn't be able to get my touch up guy to spot fix as easily without having to remove the wrap on that panel.
If I were to start all over, I'd have to seriously think about the blue with a matte xpel full wrap. Looks amazing!
I have a white on white coming so no point in the matte on mine.�

brianvicars Gentlemen, this will probably be the last vehicle We will ever purchase. Presently, our only daily vehicle, a 1978 Impala, will again, be relegated to second car use, although used in both summer & winter. We purchased the Impala new for $7,945. I have joined a local Classic car club this year to demonstrate to others how maintenance of a vehicle is the key to longevity. For some unknown reasons, many of the club members asked me to bring the Tesla over to the club's weekly "show & shine". It was at the show that I was introduced to a red Miata, displaying a front hood and bumper wrapped with Sun Tek. I twas impossible for me to detect a different between the wrapped section & the rest of the car. I was sold.
Although I don't like the Matte finish, it is currently very popular & I learned that a wrap can be done in either gloss or matte in many different colours. I went with the full wrap for 2 reasons. One, the cost is a small percentage of the price paid for the Model X. Two, groceries shopping carts usually mark the vehicle along the sides.
If by chance my Impala does not last the 50 years that I expect, I will be buying a Model 3 as a replacement & yes I probably will get a full wrap.�

SSD420 After talking to my DS earlier on the phone today, I learned that my 90D MX won't be arriving until July
The only MX's to arrive at Lawrence are Signatures. They were still unloading more off the truck today. None of the cars they got are for test drives yet though.
Good news (for me) though.. My car has been built!
For you Sig owners, J.M. said he will be quite busy with the actual customer deliveries for the next 2 weeks, so most of you should be getting your MX's soon.�

Gymee I have a feeling that mine won't be here before end of month either. My car has been completed and is in QC too. Then it's to be shipped on a truck which takes 7-10 days I'm told (to Montreal). My DS says that shipping can take as little as 3 days when they hire two drivers to stay on the road 24 hours a day. My problem is that if it arrives during the week, I probably won't be able to take delivery until the weekend.�

brianvicars Unknown to us, our SigX arrived @ SC on June 13th. On June 17th., my wife visited our vehicle & introduced herself to our Model X. PDI ........coming soon. Delivery expected to us by Friday, June 24th., only if PDI can be completed by that date. They are working as fast as they can & I am confident that the inspection should not take longer than 2 or 3 weeks.�

brianvicars The second photo above, is mine. Finish looks good. I was under the impression that the "multi-coat" colours were not metallic. My sig red paint certainly sparkles in the sunshine like metallic. I am very pleased. There are 13 model x behind the building in Toronto. I was told that only one demo has arrived to date.�

Jgdixon They are definitely metallic. My Sig S looked fantastic in different light. Bright sunshine brought out the gold highlights.

Gymee Sadly, I heard from my DS today that my car went from QC back into general production. This means I likely won't make the Q2 Rush so instead if sending it by truck, they'll likely send it by train and I should expect delivery in the second week of July. Kind of disappointed because I was excited for my car but also don't want them to rush the car. It puts a crimp in my accommodation sale given that I am supposed to hand over my Porsche to a private buyer. I'll have to do it in 10 days regardless if my C isn't ready because that was the deal we made. Hoping my SC can help by putting me in a model S as I wait (long shot I know).�

DiveDeep Might want to take a look at take-off rims.. A number of people are taking delivery of their Teslas and immediately swapping out rims to aftermarket.. I picked up a set of Model S 19" rims that were brand new from T Sportline. They have appropriate clearance and setback (please verify for yourself in the manuals)... Paid $950 including shipping. Snow tires ~ $350 each.. way cheaper than the Tesla Package!
I figure that the smaller wheel allows for more rubber and cushioning of the rims in rougher winter driving and potential pot holes.

Since I rarely get to wear my white tuxedo anyone more since we have discontinued ocean cruising, I think I will go for the delivery in white with a red neck ruffle. Maybe I'll take my wife out for a wonderful dinner afterwards. We haven't visited McDonalds in months.�
